TOUR ITINERARY OF VARANASI TO VALMIKI TIGER RESERVE AND IT'S APPROXIMATELY COSTING

TOUR   ITINERARY 

Duration:1 night 2 days

Day 1st:-    Varanasi - Valmiki Tiger Reserve
                     
Nearest Railway station is Bagaha. We reached hear by train [train no.12538 (M,W,F)]. (Total distance 324 km - 8 hrs)
Receive to Bagaha railway station and transfer to Hotel Valmiki Vihar(30 km.)
In evening Tourist will do Nature walk near  Hotel Valmiki Vihar. After sunset                     Tourist will watch THARU DANCE and THARU CULTURE.
THARU:- The tharu people are an ethnic group indigenous to the terai, the southern foothills of the Himalayas. The walls of there homes using only available materials like clay,mud,dung and grass.They speak the language.They wear traditional clothes and traditional jewellery.
Over night stay at hotel valmiki vihar and hearing real sound of animals and birds.

Day 2nd :-     Full day sight seen of Tiger reserve
                      
Early morning we will go to DEVI STHAN.
DEVI STHAN:- It is a temple of LORD DURGA. Here panda said that, in the morning a tiger a tiger came here and round the temple than go to own den. It is like that Tiger pray to lord durga . During     that period the foot step of that tiger is establishing near LORD DURGA.
Than after return to Hotel and take Breakfast.
After breakfast start a Elephant safari and try to watch  Tiger, birds, deer, spotted deer, Hog deer, Shambhar, Blue bull, Leopard cat, Wild cat, fishing cat, Languor, monkey and butterflies .
After lunch we visit Maharishi Valmiki ashram.
Maharishi Valmiki Ashram :-  It is said that Valmiki Rishi (sage) wrote the great epic, "Ramayana" here. It is also believed to be the birthplace of Luv & Kush (the two sons of Lord Ram and his divine wife Sita). 
                      

Gandak Dam :- The entry point of the river at the Indo–Nepal border is also   the confluence called Triveni with rivers Pachnad and Sonha descending from Nepal. Pandai river flows into Bihar (India) from Nepal in the eastern end of the Valmiki Sanctuary and meets Masan.

After dinner we will drop him Bagaha railway station and departure to Varanasi by train [train no. 12537 (M,W,F)].

DESIRE OF HEARING THE ROAR OF TIGERS IN BIHAR COME TO VALMIKI TIGER RESERVE .......... FOR GREAT THRILL AND ADVENTURE

VALMIKI TIGER RESERVE

The name of the district West Champaran derives from two words, Champa and Aranya, meaning forest of Champa trees. 
Valmiki National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the West Champaran district of Bihar state, India. The extensive forest area of Valmikinagar was previously owned by the Bettiah Raj and Ramanagar Raj until the early 1950s. Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) is one of the natural virgin recesses in east India, situated in the north west corner of Bihar. The VTR forest area covers 899.38 square kilometers, which is 17.4% of the total geographical area of the district West Champaran. As of 2013, there were 22 tigers in the Reserve.

Wild animal diversity

The wil found in the forest of VTR are tiger, Rhinoceros, Black bear, Leopard, Wild dog, wild buffalo, wild boar etc. There are several species of deer and antelopes found in VTR which are barking deer, spotted deer, Hog deer, Shambhar, Blue bull. Apart from that hyena, Leopard cat, Wild cat, fishing cat, Languor, monkey, and flying squirrel can also be sighted in VTR. The Tiger Population in the Reserve was 10 in 2010, which increased to 22 in 2013.At present 241 bird species have been reported from VTR. The jungle of VTR abounds in various kinds of moth, caterpillars and butterflies. Some common butterflies like common Mormon, great Mormon, glassy tiger, great egg fly, club beak, grey pansy, lime butterfly, common crow can easily be sighted.
